Geldeston Village

Geldeston is a great place to visit and we are blessed with two local pubs, The Wherry Inn on The Street in Geldeston and The Locks Inn on the Norfolk side of the River Waveney between Beccles and Bungay.

There are Broads Authority FREE 24 hour moorings immediately outside the Locks inn. Rowan Craft has a good number of visitors moorings available for all craft , FREE for 24 hours, located just below the old railway bridge and only a couple of minutes walk along the footpath to the village.

Mandy's Marvellous farm shop sells a huge range of pickles, chutneys, Delicious Jams, fresh fruit and vegetables and a selection of gifts and other fresh produce.

The village hall just at the top of Big Row has notices of local events and details of village walks...... the footpath along the river runs all the way to Beccles.

We are also ideally located for a visit to the city of Norwich, or the Coast & Seaside at Great Yarmouth or Lowestoft . All reachable by Bus from the top of the lane, A short drive by car or of course cruisable by river!

Gorgeous cottage, well furnished and ample facilities. The local attraction guides and full manual folders are a great help. Couldn’t have asked for more on our stay. — Ben - Essex, 03 Jan 2017
