Thank you Sue for the welcome hamper and flowers, and all the extras.

We had a lovely week here with pretty decent weather. The cottage has been ideal for all our needs & a great base for exploring the local area.
Kids loved Pleasurewood Hills & Africa Alive, we all enjoyed a sunny day at Southwold. The youngest also loved playing in the shop/post office here. Many thanks for everything, including our very welcome, welcome pack.

Gorgeous cottage, well furnished and ample facilities. The local attraction guides and full manual folders are a great help. Couldn’t have asked for more on our stay. — Ben - Essex, 03 Jan 2017
Excellent accommodation, in a great location. The circular walk along the river and back was brilliant.
Lovely marmalade & chutneys at the farm shop along the road, plus easy access to the Broads. Perfect!
Love the décor in the “Old Post Office”. The welcome pack was much appreciated, thank you
— Deborah & Mick - York, North Yorkshire, 01 Oct 2016
A most comfortable & well equipped cottage, which is ideal for children & families. We enjoyed the walk to Beccles along the river (wear long trousers in summer as there are lots of stinging nettles) & ride back with the “Big Dog Ferry”. Also Fritton Lakes Park & Dunwich were very enjoyable. We ate at “The Wherry Inn” for two evenings and the food was excellent. Our grandchildren loved the “Post Office” and all the toys.
Thank you for thinking of everything anyone would need on holiday including a lovely welcome pack.
— Oakley & Loader Families - Leicester & Northumberland, 30 Aug 2016

We stayed for a week, and it was a rally nice stay. Lots of places to visit, like Beccles, Great Yarmouth & lots more. We went out almost every day then to come home and collapse in the comfy, marshmallow beds. We all had an amazing time, and its really sad to leave. Lovely clean and we cant wait until our next visit. Thank you. — The Heaton Family, 20 Aug 2016
Had a great holiday. Cottage very comfy, weather superb. Swimming at the Lido a must. Canoeing on river, fab. Great food at the Wherry Inn. Friendly. We will be back. — Marstons - Staffs, 06 Aug 2016
Excellent accommodation, perfect location to explore the surroundings.
For those with kids:
Africa Alive & Bewilderwood – both great, good for 4+ hours.

Thank you
— Jim & Rosse - Cambridge, 01 Jun 2016
Fantastic stay, thank you – beautiful cottage, which was so well equipped – a home from home. Great local walks & pubs too.
— Nicolson Family - Suffolk, 14 May 2016
The Post office was a home from home, at a very sad time for us all. So thank you. We'll be back. — Kernan & Montague Families, Dublin, 02 May 2016
We are now on our final day of very enjoyable week which was made more enjoyable by the lovely, homely and relaxing “Old Post Office” In the words of our 9 year old son, Harry, the house was “awesome” and we felt very privelidged to have been able to stay here and enjoy the surroundings, including the friendly & homely “Wherry Inn”. We absolutely loved our stay here and were amazed by the thought that had gone into making guests feel welcome. Every day was packed with things to do and we all slept soundly in our very comfortable beds.
Thank you very much, hope to be back soon.
— Cheryl, Lee, Amy & Harry - Chelmsford, Essex, 08 Apr 2016
I can't rate this holiday home highly enough. The house was immaculate and far bigger in size than we had anticipated. The owners had thought of our every need and we enjoyed a very thoughtful welcome pack. The area in which the house is situated is beautiful with 2 great pubs within walking distance. All in all a wonderful Easter break. We shall definitely be returning. Our two small children loved it, so many toys for them to play with. Wonderful! — Vanessa - Farnborough, 28 Mar 2016
Wow, What can we say. We loved the Old Post Office. Cosy nights in front of the log burner. Family meals in the dining room.
Thank you for our welcome basket & for sharing your beautiful house with us.
We would love to come back.
— The Webb Family - Essex, 26 Oct 2015
Multi generational family for a sunny summer week. Wonderful old building with intriguing "inner windows" - particularly enjoyed shaking hands with the occupant of the top bunk! Own toys unused - the mini Post Office was in business all day, every day!! Split our days between Suffolk & Norfolk - Wroxham miniature worlds, Bressingham Steam museum, Lowestoft Beach (Pakefield end) Big Dog Ferry into Beccles, Southwold & The Camel Sanctuary (forget where, somewhere west) Sorry to leave but will be back.
Thanks to all concerned xxx
— The Pryor Family - North Yorks, Richmond on Thames & Basingstoke, 15 Aug 2015
We had a lovely stay. Enjoyed the Old Post Office so much - comfy, enjoyable, situated in an ideal location for us - we've managed to see a lot of The Broads. We recommend the hippodrome, Great Yarmouth, putting green at Lowestoft, The thatched Cottage, Lowestoft, Pleasurewood Hills. We walked to The Locks Inn - also lovely.
Thanks Again x

Very enjoyable stay in this lovely old house. The facilities were perfect and a great base for exploring the area. Local pubs good and the grand-children loved the mini post office & toys.

Twyfolds cake shop in Beccles, good and Africa Alive is a great day out. We were fascinated with the history of the house & the “secret garden” next door. It would be lovely if you could provide some information for next time we visit !
— Maureen & Mike, Pete, Anna, Aiden & Finlay, Essex, 01 Aug 2015
We would like to pass on our appreciation for the preparation of the Old Post Office to Sue. As last time, it was immaculately presented which always adds to the experience. Its location is ideal for our particular needs, allowing easy access to local attractions and to those towards the north of the county which we struggle to visit when staying in another of our favourite cottages in Suffolk. It is a nice change to walk into a property and find it gleaming with nice personal touches everywhere. Breakfast and some lunches at Highway Nursery (A146 - 3 miles South of Norwich). Great food and ale at The Lord Nelson, Southwold. The Locks Inn, Geldeston worth the stroll, take a torch if likely to come back after dark. Fabulous shopping in Norwich, use the Horford park and ride off the A47. We look forward to staying around the same time next year. — Lin & Keith, Essex, 18 Jul 2015
Thanks you so much, we have really enjoyed staying in this holiday home, you have a beautiful home and it really felt like we were in a home away from home. Our kids (10 & 6) did not want to leave.
Everything in this home was so well thought of. Everything was there & so comfortable.
Thank you.
— Benjamin & Niels Family, from Qatar, 25 May 2015
What a beautiful cottage, thank you for the welcome pack and the goodies for our son, especially the windmill.
A really well stocked holiday cottage, with such attention to detail, esp the fresh flowers & so many toys!
We will definitely recommend to friends.

Thank you for a lovely stay, beautiful house, wonderful surroundings & bright sunshine. We had a brilliant time, thank you. — The Jollystays - Edinburgh, 17 May 2015
The you so much for allowing us to stay in your comfortable attractive home. We have so enjoyed the week, some days not going out of the village at all!
The week has been relaxing & gone my far too quickly.
Mr & Mrs Duck have visited us most days, which has pleased us and also so pleasing was to the 7 or 8 squirrels around us at Oulton Broad, Park.
Thanks you again.
— Diane & Norma - Essex, 15 May 2015
A lovely Cottage ! The children (Ages 7,5, and 3) enjoyed themselves from the minute they arrived - the toys were a hit !
Fantastic base for so many attractions - Bewilderwood, Banham Zoo, Africa Alive & Dinosaur Adventure.
— The Nightingale Family, West Mersea, 02 Nov 2014
We were pleasantly surprised by how well appointed and presented the cottage is. We had two young girls with us who loved the play shop and all the other toys in the house.
An excellent place to stay for a short break or a couple of weeks.
— Taylor Family - Lincolnshire, Bristol & The Boarders, 19 Oct 2014
We had a lovely few days here at The Old Post Office. Loved the décor and furnishings and loved the peace and quiet. Visit Mr T's fish & chip hut n Southwold Harbour for the very best Fish 'n' Chips.

I had a great time, playing in the little post office. I also liked it in my bed room. I had a great night sleep on top bunk of my bunk-bed. My 2 minions and macapaca also liked it.

We had a wonderful bank holiday weekend at the OPO. The cottage itself is so warm & homely with everything you could possibly wish for supplied. Our four children aged between 2 – 11 absolutely loved the little play post office/shop. This is totally genius & kept them occupied in imaginative play for hours ! We packed in a lot during or stay, visiting with loads of friend in Lowestoft, Worlingham & Beccles.

Its such a lovely quiet, picturesque location but close to everything. We would definately come here again & recommend to our friends, we really do not want to leave this charming cottage. Thank You.
— Oakes Family, Norfolk, 25 Aug 2014
We had a wonderful stay at The OPO. It is so well equipped & everything has been thought of. I didn't even unpack the toys I had bought with us for my 2 & 8 year old as there were so many there. We will certainly be returning. Thank you. — Griffiths Family, 22 Aug 2014
Thank you for such a welcoming cottage & especially for the welcome pack, after a four hour drive with 2 boys the bottle of wine was a very nice surprise! We had a great week (despite the odd thunderstorm) and would recommend Rowen Craft's day boat for a river trip (Beccles is under an hour), The Wherry, The Locks Inn & The Lido at Beccles (if its not too windy they put up a GIANT inflatable from 1 – 3 pm) Watch out for cars parked just around the sharp left hand bend as you enter the neighbouring village of Gillingham. — Stansfield Family., 15 Aug 2014
"Thank you for the beautifully presented house and the “welcome basket”. Fantastic week, made better by the glorious weather. Excellent meals at The Brudenells in Aldeburgh, Highway Garden Centre (A146 Norwich) and Southwold Pier. The Locks Inn is only a 20 minute stroll and well worth a visit – if visiting during the hours of darkness, a torch is an absolute necessity, for real ale fans, the real ale company of Branthill Farm, Wells is a must (NR23 7SB)." — Sewell Family, Thundersley, Essex , 19 Jul 2014
Thank you for the welcome hamper, nice surprise. We all had a lovely stay in a very well equipped house.
Very comfy beds, we all had a relaxing time & enjoyed trips out along the Coast.

We have eaten really well !! We had a lovely Italian in Beccles, fish & chips in Aldburgh, a fab carvery at Carlton Manor, Lowestoft, not to mention all the coffee's, cakes & ice cream !!
On the plus side we have been on some lovely walks to balance out all those extra Kcal's !!
Loved the cottage, loved the area and loved the sunshine.
Oh... We also got a day boat at Waveney River Centre and had lunch at the pub there, that was yummy !

See you next year,

Had a great time, everything in cottage that we needed for a relaxing break. We went walking and cycling with plenty to see and do in local countryside. Picked up a booklet from Tourist Info office “The Broads by Bike”, three of the rides included Geldeston on the routes which are all circular and mostly on quiet country lanes. The route maps can be downloaded from www.thebroadsbybike.org.uk.

We were the first to stay here, and are pleased to be the first to leave comments. A nice well appointed cottage with all the things you need to make it home from home. The welcome pack was really appreciated as were the fresh flowers in the kitchen. You are nicely placed to get to all the interesting places without driving too far. Some nice walks are to be experienced from the cottage, maps are up on the notice board opposite the cottage on the street corner. You can walk to Becceles along the river and take The Big Dog Ferry back, which is a nice relaxing punt looking at all the wild life, ferry docks at the The Locks Inn which serves real ale and has quite a comprehensive food menu. Altogether a throughly enjoyable stay. — Kevin & Jenny, 27 Jun 2013
